This tool is part of the Wire Elements line, which focuses on making one-of-a-kind wire jewelry using pliers, hammers and tools that are designed to protect your wire while working and preserving your creations. The compact tool measures 1.75” x 1.5” (44.45mm x 38mm), which is a perfect space saving size for stashing in a drawer or tossing in your bag on the way to a beading class. The hand tool features three nylon rollers, each .5” (12.7mm) in diameter. The nylon protects your wire from marring and damage. They also protect your wire from chipping, or removing any coatings, which are often found on aluminum wire. This straightening tool can be used on a variety of wires including stainless steel, sterling silver and 24K gold. To straighten your wire put the tool in your hand with the rollers lying flat. Put your wire between the rollers, parallel to the metal hardware and close the rollers, forming a triangle. Firmly grasp your wire on one end and pull your wire through the rollers on the other side. This will effectively remove kinks, bends and curls. Repeat as necessary to get the desired effect.
