These are solid quality rollers. My only complaint is that they snap apart while you’re rolling your hair pretty frequently and it’s a little bit of a hassle to snap them back together.THEY ARE NOT LIKE THE SPONGE ROLLERS THAT WERE MADE YEARS AGO. THE FASTENER WILL POP OFF THE ROLLER AND WHEN YOU PUT IT BACK ON, IT WILL POP OFF AGAIN.For those who have used sponge rollers, these are your classic reliable sponge rollers. I initially read bad reviews on this product that was more user error/misunderstanding than product issue. If you need classic sponge rollers, these are perfect.For those who are unfamiliar with sponge rollers:-Yes, the plastic is in 2 pieces. That is by design. If you can't snap the plastic closed them you are probably trying to use too large of a section of hair around the roller or you need a larger sized roller.-It is best to use these when your hair is damp, not soaking. Think about it is you have very wet hair and leave it very tightly curled around something all night it may not dry completely. I let my hair mostly air dry and put these in when it is damp, then sleep in them and my hair is completely dry by morning. When straight, my hair is a little below my shoulders.-If you curl them super tight around the curler, they can make very tight curls. If you take the curler out and run a brush through it, you may look like little orphan Annie. Use your fingers to loosen the curls and recurl them.-Like many hair products, not all products work for all hairs types. There is different techniques, skills and products used for different hair types. That is not the products fault.Good luck!These fell apart easily. I would not reorder them. The curlers with brand labels, like the green ones, worked very well.I don't know if I'm using it wrong or what, but the hinge will not stay in place on these no matter what I do. I'm constantly dropping the frame pieces as a result and having to search on the floor for them while rolling my hair, which is bloody maddening. Not the experience I want to have at night when getting ready for bed.Lightly dampen hair with a very small amount of gel or Mousse and sleep in the curlers overnight and wake up with lots of curls! Run your fingers through them to loosen the curls ~ sometimes brushing through the curls can cause less curls and/or. FrizzI would not consider these as a large size they are definitely a medium size. Before you buy them look at the measurements closely. I’ve bought larger ones at target. These were a wasteI was looking for the pink foam rollers I used in high school. These are foam rollers, but they are not as big as I wanted. They are a medium not large so if you're looking for large these won't work. I have longer hair and want bigger curls so I will be returning these.
